These cushions were designed and made for us when we were in India. They are created in Kashmir, known for crewel stitch work. 

The crewel strict is a loop over loop type of embroidery going back to the 1600's, usually made of wool. 

The front of the cushion is 100% wool. The 

 Back is finished in 100% thick cotton with a high quality zipper.

Wash Cold water, hang to dry.

This original work of art is crafted by local blacksmith David Mc Cord. The bowl is completely hand hammered and hand finished copper. Each is unique. David has crafted a metal base for each piece to stand on.

In the Pemba and Monze districts of Zambia's Southern Plateau, skilled Batonga women craft iconic baskets from locally harvested palm leaves and wild twigs. The weavers artfully elevate single-use plastic bags that would otherwise be discarded to add colorful assorted graphic motifs to their baskets.

Artists in Zimbabwe, mainly in remote rural areas, create these Meerkat wood sculptures. As indigenous hard woods became increasingly scarce, they focus on developing products made from non-endangered Jacaranda wood. Much care is taken in the carving and finishing of a product, and this same care is extended to the selection, maintenance and delivery of these fabulous one-of-a-kind sculptures. Carved from a single piece, these wood animals are beautifully polished and carefully crafted.  
These quirky meerkats have a very human component in their expression and curiosity.
